![]() ![]() ![]() I am waiting for to look into this at sass level before doing anything on rmarkdown side. This is obviously not an issue when self_contained = TRUE because the lib dir folder will be cleaned. Or if we should document how to deactivate the cache when developing the css of a rmarkdown document to avoid creating so many folders. ![]() Maybe we should deactivate the sass cache by default, and document how to activate it if needed by the user as rmarkdown is sass cache aware. Though I managed to get this working by: 1) putting my code components back to 'cacheTRUE', 2) deleting the cache folder, 3) hard resetting R studio and running the code from scratch. I don't know if we can offer a cleaning mechanism - but I guess it is like with HTML dependencies: a folder is created for each, but older ones are not removed automatically. I wouldn't say it solved it, as I actually wanted to use the cache, not avoid it entirely. The second time the chunk is run, both the visual output and any objects created are loaded from disk. The Knitr Cache operates at the level of individual cells rather than the entire document. Going to RStudios 'Tools' and 'Global options' and visiting the 'R Markdown' tab, you can make a selection in 'Evaluate chunks in directory', there select the option 'Documents' and the R Markdown knitting engine will be accessing the global environment as plain R code does. ![]()
